I have been living in Dusseldorf Germany since 2020, and before that, our family lived in the U.S. and Korea. I usually start my day with a cup of good coffee and a run along the Rhine, and end the day with some chocolate and a movie. I love to travel to different places, lean new cultures, enjoy local food and connect with people.
My life motto is to live in the moment, and to cherish simple things in everyday life. Since my kids were born, I started documenting our family, to remember how wonderful and chaotic our life is. Our family memory books have photos of kids, attending classes in a Korean kindergarten, eating ice cream in the 45 ℃ Vietnam, saying goodbye to their school friends, being completely bored in a Zoom class, building a fort with packing boxes in the new house, and many more others. My kids love going through all these pictures to immerse themselves back into their “old lives” and cherish this part of their childhood.
I love taking family photos in real life, full of laughter, tears, tantrums, joy and all other little moments. With a documentary approach, we can see through photos to remember the uniqueness of our everyday life, emotions and connections we have for each other, and details that we will miss later, but might have not even noticed yet. I believe photos should show how it felt like in the moment, not just how people looked or what clothes they wore.
Let’s create a memory book of your true family story together, something that will always take you back in time and put a smile on your face.
